25 Days of SLO Frozen Yogurt EditionToday is Day 14 of 25 Days of SLO Digital Adventure through San Luis Obispo with me, The Leesh!

Today we are talking dessert because let’s face it, it is one of my favorite things. I probably get frozen yogurt at least twice a week (OK sometimes it’s more like 3 or 4, but let’s keep that on the down low). And one of my all time favorite places to do that is SLO Downtown. Downtown SLO is surprisingly easy to get to and around if you know where to park… the structure across from the movie theater and Chino’s is the perfect spot to park if you just want to scoot over to Yogurt Creations or Bali’s.

Yup, that’s right, I like them both (Yogurt Creations and Bali’s). I know that many slocals are divided on this issue (much like political parties) but I’m an equal opportunity yogurt enthusiast. Bali’s is the original and has been in SLO for as long as I can remember. As far as I’m concerned, they invented the “do it yourself” idea and started the Fro Yo craze with awesome flavors and toppings galore. If you want the old school original, that is a piece of SLO history, go here!

Then came Yogurt Creations, which opened during my time in college. The younger, more colorful rival to Bali’s is the same idea… awesome yogurt and all the toppings you could ever want. They are also the more “hip” and social savvy place to go… you can even sign up for “favorite flavor” alerts so you can know when peanut butter is available ( I wouldn’t know anyone like that at all 😉 ).

But if you want my real opinion, I think you should try both and see for yourself! You will not be disappointed either way. 🙂

Stay tuned to continue on this digital adventure with me during the #25DaysofSLO and vote for Alycia Schaefer for SLO Ambassador!
